There’s some information missing in this piece. Was this an agent that was created and acting on behalf of OpenAI, or was it a rando that was utilizing the OpenAI platform?
Also, AI is not an intelligent super hacker, all it does it string together existing and known methods for access (including known and available exploits). My question then would be: why was the Australian service vulnerable? Did they not secure it correctly? Was it not patched?
A normal person could have also gained access, so as much as they want to blame someone, they should also take some of the blame too for internal gaps.
