Just wanted to share my recent discovery. Dexter doesn’t seem to mind either!

He’s always been a quiet purrer. I call it his “silent running” purrs. Usually I press my ear right against his chest to listen (he loves this) but headphones amplify it massively.

I have a kitty that purrs so loudly, you can hear him meters away. I joke that he steals another of our kitties’ purrs, who is mostly silent.

Sometimes I just pick silent baby up and hold him to my ear like giant two-handed telephone, and I can hear him softly.

Alas, all of my headphones are open-back or earbuds/IEMs, but if I get some closed-back I’ll try it!
