NP, you have to do it on the web interface, not in the app. You can also decrease the frequency if you don’t want it to last forever.
Netbird, it doesn’t use much for data for me, just disable expiry and it’ll stay connected. I would guess the third party app is part of the problem.

I switched to Fedora years ago. Linux mint has been not as good for a long time.

What a coincidence. Snaps being garbage is the reason I quit using Ubuntu.
If I remove a snap and install a deb package, I should not have to do multiple workarounds to stop it from being replaced with the snap package automatically. The firefox snap doesn’t work with a bunch of shit at all.

All of that should be blockable. They will never do it but it’s fucking dumb any of that shit was ever acceptable.

Autostart as an option is good.
Not being able to block apps from autostarting is unacceptable.
Looking at you android, fuck right off with that shit.
Bookstack in a docker container. You can export pages with revision numbers and dates. I print out the emergency stuff and keep it in a binder. https://www.bookstackapp.com/ I’ve been using it at work for like a decade now. No apps or anything though, just a decent web interface.

From the article:
But sometimes, something new shows up that makes us long-time Linux users pause mid-coffee sip and go, “okay … hold on. What exactly are you doing over there?”
Lol

Remote access is the one pain point. There is very little for RMM or remote software that works on wayland. KDE has that in the works already.
Everybody says Rustdesk but it is a bad joke regardless of wayland.
Personally I host a simplehelp server(paid) and it’s really good but wayland support is a no go so far.
Everything else has been categorically better and fixed a lot of issues for me that I used to have on X11 which I’ve used for like 15 years.
X11+Gnome until gnome 3 then KDE for me because I’m not using a damn tablet (or workspaces).

It works well, has little to no vendor lock in, and has reasonable or no licensing costs.
Also drivers can be developed without needing anyones permission or validation like with Windows drivers.

Turmp
Lol incoming defamation lawsuit here.
Is that improvement past the 1.0 release? That update was great but it still needs some work and unfortunately I’m not the right kind of programmer to help either.
Orcaslicer hands down.
For 3d modelling software, they all suck or have an unreasonable cost for what they offer. Openscad is something at least.

Kinda inevitable when you keep throwing all that crap up there.
In theory yes, but in practice no. Most companies have implemented them in the dumbest ways and have not used them to increase security. They can pretty much all be worked around with your phone number or email. It should also be a choice not trying to trick users into using it.
Amazon can fuck right off with their prompt to save on every single login. Microsoft will still try to save passkeys even when you turn it off in windowsso you can use a password manager. They are just creating a fucking mess.
Password + Passkey as 2fa would be nice.
