He developed a personality so he threw him out, now he needs to wait until the younger Kevlar grows up.

I still have an open bet on an Aircraft Carrier mutiny before the term is over.

If it works on socialism, why wouldn’t it work on liberalism?

There’s an ancient proverb that goes like: “If your Senate is made only of warriors, it’ll be a rule of idiots. If the army is made only of philosophers, wars would be fought by cowards. Both must have both.”

I’m finding that Lemmy and the Fediverse in general isn’t good enough for normie stuff, like TV and movies. Frankly, i think videogames too now that i think about it. I’ve seen news about videogames, but never people talking about a videogame. Even anime and manga is very limited.

Not the first time, there have been many migrations and the ban the sites that gain traction against Reddit.

It was only lightweight in comparison to Windows, but every other OS is.

I spend two hours the other night just getting nicer covers for my ebooks. I don’t regret it.

My friend bought a used Kindle paper, it worked perfectly for a month, even bought books for it. Then randomly bricked.

The same happened to me, but with a Kindle fire stick. I loved how nice it looked on my old led tv, even better in my more modern led monitor. The only device i could actually stream at 1080p without image downgrade. It didn’t last 6 months, stuck in a bootloop and i have no idea on how to troubleshoot. Never again.

Read “Throw you a bone” in the same way you throw a rock to someone and not how you throw leftovers to dogs. Trump hasn’t helped anyone that has kissed his ass, only those that give him cash, and even then…

Stay home, do nothing is a strike.

Basically, the only thing the US failed to do from this list was a successful pivot to green technologies and the cheap, abundant electricity they could provide. There were many plans that had plans to process and build lithium batteries, that were dismantled after Trump 2.

American car companies (and American built cars) get subsidies from the US, Canada, and Mexico as all three form a single manufacturing chain. They simply have had a different set of priorities that allowed newcomers to eat their lunch, like it happens to any complacent industry.

They tried when Japanese cars became popular for being efficient, the US car companies preferred to pretty much abandon the rest of the world and keep the government money.

Furiphone?

They’ve been partners ever since WSL launched, it was initially only available with Ubuntu.

Trust that Microsoft will send upstream any feature they don’t want to maintain themselves. Slowly, but surely there will be featured that only work on Windows. Then, when they believe they don’t have to play nice anymore, they’ll close off the code.

Embrace, Extend, Extinguish.

I’ve lost so many of those over the years lol

It’s not as crunchy though, i want crunchy.

I worked customer service for match for almost a decade, so I can give you a few pointers.

People leave when they’re the only ones in an area. So giving them something to do is important to retain people. The best idea I’ve ever saw was having a forum where people can discuss any topic. I think Match also tested public chatrooms and streams, but i didn’t really dealt with those. You’ll have to deal with forum drama and moderation, but some people will be very engaged.

Speaking of, moderation will take lots of time and effort. People sick. Make sure that moderation tools are as robust as the matching ones.

I think those are the general ones. Best of luck!
