Oh no!
RFK is now Anthony Fauci without the charm, education, intelligence, humanity, and experience - a sort of MAGA-fauci!

Hey republicans: you know that idiot that everyone said was an idiot and that we all warned you was an idiot? Turns out he’s an idiot.
And a liar. And a diddler.

Besides the other replies, Iran has achieved a huge PR coup by revealing that the US is a paper tiger. The popularity of the US among western countries has never been lower because Trump’s Blunder pooched the global economy. Former allies are walking away from economic and military cooperation with the US.
Additionally, the US has to pay Iran 300B in war reparations as part of their surrender. The iranian regime will probably divert those funds to entrench their power.

It is backfiring, though. Support for Israel is plummeting globally. Accusations of antisemitism are meaningless now because Israel changed the meaning of the word: an antisemite is just a person who criticizes Israeli foreign policy.

He was born a very special baby
He will die a very special baby.

The Atlantic has a partnership with openai. I cancelled my subscription.

But if you’re heavily invested in the stock bubble market, your net worth has never been higher. the economy is only bad for the bottom half. that’s why trump is still in power - the well-to-do aren’t hurting and the elites are getting everything they ever wanted.

I am boycotting. I stopped going to the states in 2016, the first time they elected shit-for-brains. It’s not about safety.

Either he has no understanding of the word ‘mature’ or he’s lying.
I believe he likes Trump, but I am sure his motivation is self-interest and has nothing to do with what’s ‘good’ for the US.

We can quote this article at his trial.

I agree with your sentiment but I like these posts for a strategic reason: Bezos intends for his statements to bolster support, but his strategy is falling flat. Support for AI is either level or declining, and anger over its harm is growing. Bezos reveals the extent to which he is out-of-touch. I think his statements actually inflame opposition to AI: his propaganda is motivating his opponents while leaving his supporters indifferent. When I upvote Bezos quotes, I am thinking to myself, ‘hey everybody, get a load of this asshole!’ I am definitely not upvoting him because I think his claims have merit or that they will convert people to support AI.

Even in my country (Canada), the news media keeps reporting on Trump as though he were a normal leader. He is not. He is a career criminal - a scammer who is robbing the US blind. Even worse: he doesn’t need to scam any more. At his disposal is the world’s largest military and nuclear arsenal. He is now attacking and robbing other countries. Next up: Cuba. He will keep on robbing and killing until somebody stops him because his greed is bigger than the Earth. Killing Trump would be a moral act.

Yeah no shit. They saw Trump 1.0 and still inflicted him on the world again. Americans fucking suck.

nah, that’s what messed up the senate.

We had that before. It was called feudalism and it was terrible. One day, the people got pissed off enough to cut off a few heads. A golden age ensued for a couple hundred years.

But his house didn’t do anything wrong!

I feel the same way about the war as you do, as far as i can tell. It is a moral outrage that the rich and powerful can kill and destroy with impunity.
Because of my work, the article is interesting to me, but it adds nothing to my opposition to economic coercion and illegal wars. i am not persuaded by it because i care more about the human aspect than the economic side.
if the article were to persuade someone else to join us in opposition to the conflicts you mentioned, though, i would say it was a good article for that reason alone.
we need a coalition of people with different priorities who are opposed to the wars, simply because that is the best chance of ending them.
This article makes it sound like we have a traditional stock market where people buy shares in companies they expect to make a profit. In fact, this is a speculation market, where people buy shares in companies they expect to become more valuable on the speculation market. Everyone is just trying to outguess the herd - they tell themselves, “if I time MY sale right, I can get out before the crash.” The whole thing is a game of chicken. Nobody expects these companies to turn a profit proportional to their spending.
