I know before the war started, I read some coverage from the Guardian of the protests in Iran that was leaning pretty hard into some lurid details and leaving out relevant information that didn’t suit the narrative.

You can actually go on YouTube and search “Tehran walking tour” or something similar, and like half the women aren’t wearing any head covering whatsoever…
I don’t know if there are different rules for performers, but I am a bit suspicious. Is the guardian trying to drum up consent for restarting the war? I think some skepticism is warranted.
And before y’all downvote me to oblivion for for being a dictator loving tankie or whatever, remember that the Guardian is British corporate media…the same country where protesting genocide gets you charged as a terrorist. It’s not exactly a place where the ruling class has ever given a shit about human rights.

I guess the closest thing to this that’s happening is BRICS and their efforts to do less international trade in dollars. De-dollarization freaks out the US ruling class, so you know it’s a good thing. Just wish it would happen faster.

This is true but also you could simply do an opposing disinformation campaign.

Hell yeah, let’s go.

I think it’s also important to have a hotdogs per day figure, and the math from here is super simple, so I can do it.
384,1236060*24 = 33,188,227,200 hot dogs per day.

The US has been the main villain ever since they inherited the role from the British. None of this is surprising if you’ve been paying attention.

You don’t have to look at everything in terms of individual responsibility. We can clearly see that the injustices caused by transatlantic slavery, and imperialism more broadly, are very much still here. I think it would be nice to try to remedy this.
Of course, it’s non-binding, and the countries that should probably be paying reparations just happen to have all abstained (except for the rogue USA of course, voting against) so I don’t expect anything will happen. But it’s a nice idea.

Umm excuse me, “corruption” is offensive, the correct term is “lobbying”.

It’s “a democracy” in that the rich old white dude at the top gets swapped out every few years.
But any analysis of government policy vs what regular people want shows exactly no correlation. This isn’t even new. Sure it’s gotten even more egregious lately, but it has always been an oligarchy or plutocracy at best.

Lol, the US isn’t democratic.

Yeah this angle makes way more sense.

The idiot was calling himself the “peace president” and anyone dumb enough to buy that is probably not thrilled about another war. And anyone smart enough to see through his nonsense wasn’t going to vote for him anyway.
There are some spectacularly incompetent morons in this administration, but I think even they could figure out that starting a war with Iran wasn’t going to win people over.

At this point, why would they even care about the epstein files? No one’s actually doing anything about it. If pedo’s were getting [redacted] and they were afraid for their lives, this whole “distraction” narrative might make sense, but I have not seen an instance of someone suffering real consequences for being in the files. I would love to be wrong on that bit.

Y’all need to get rid of this guy asap.

That’s true if you know the code, you can often translate and get some meaning out of it.

The words that come out of the mouths of American politicians have absolutely no meaning.

The boomers sure did go downhill. From protesting the Vietnam war, to believing slop on facebook…
This but unironically.
