A safe approach is to go up one dir ectody and run rm -rf dirname. With that habit you have high confid3nce of deleting folder you need.

Can you please share with us the search MCP and tools you have. Seems a smart alternative than dumb grep and find. Wastes so Mich tokens.
That rmrf joke is obsolete, please update to using the --no-preserve-root flag.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Companies should by law have to pay you for each interview round.
1·20 days agoHow would they get initial people to hire infernally?
How does it compare to largest deepseek ans Claude opus 4.6? I hot used to blazing fast speed and accurate results. I’m not buying a server and 128 GB of RAM just to run a model similar to gpt-4.
One jas to Knox how expensive LLMs are by trying to run one at home. Tried running it myself, figured out I need more than 128GiB of RAM and thousand dollars in grahics card. Figured out a $5 openai per month is cheaper, and also understood they are burning money by providing a free service and 20$ subscription.

Seems to be going to Corporate Operations, Event Services, Project Support. But little goes to Linux kernel, and project infrastructure.

9·2 months agoA form of this exists but only compatible with smaller money amounts or whatever your entourage can bring in a bout a year maximum. I don’t know how you call it in English but a dumb translation from Moroccan practice would be “turn around” or “random drawing”.
Basically you just gather a bunch of people, as many as you can manage and decide on a single share amount, periodicity and number of participants. Each month, every body contributes with the share and somebody takes it home.
For example, you gather 10 people, and decide periodicity is 1 month. And decide the share is $200. You randomly draw the order of distribution. Some people do ask and negotiate the order of turns. Each month one person gets $2000 ($200 times 10) acorrding to the turns planing.
Some people can contribute in 2 or more shares. They simply pay a multiple amount of the share and get to get paid in multiple turns. For example you can have only 8 people but 10 turns.
You could call it turn based contribution.
Once the whole period is elapsed, every body should have had all of their money back.
People that have late turns feel like they simply saved money. People that have early turns feel like they got interest free, halal, loans from their friends.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Significant raise of kernel security vulnerability reports
51·3 months agoI don’t know how long this pace will last. I suspect that bugs are reported faster than they are written, so we could in fact be puffing from the a long backlog (and I hope so).
It is going to take a given time then stabilizes then decline. I guess maybe a year or so, until all major flaws and bugs are discovered and addressed. Maybe the rust code would help in this. After that it would either go back to normal, which is most likely or developer get up to speed using right tools.
AI could help accelerate writing fixes for reported bugssmaw as it does for discovering them.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•How to link Signal to my desktop without a cellphone?
4·5 months agoVirtualbox would allow you to forward the webcam device to the webcam so you can use it as a regular camera on your virtual android. You then just need to figure out how to scan the qr code. If you search deeply enough, you will find ways to. Make android use an image or video as the camera source.
The list is getting bigger and bigger. That is a good thing. But it now gets harder and harder to explore. More details on the list would help a lot.
