Sadly strategic poverty only works against those who want to make you buy something. It does very little (and in fact may make things worse) against actors who want to know if they should target you for not being white/straight/wealthy, etc.

Lots of good suggestions here, I’ll also thrown in that a basic standalone automation can help prevent the worst also:
if valve not "closed" for > 45min
set valve "closed"
Edit: use not closed instead of open to prevent brief unavailable states from messing with it.

Home of the OG Flipnote Studio—you will be missed.

Walmart is niche?? I feel like I must be misinterpreting. 😅

Once you configure nano with a ~/.nanorc file, it becomes a lot more like micro/helix without having to install anything on new systems. I just curl my config and I’m good. I have Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, 2 space tabs, mouse scrolling +selection, syntax highlighting, etc. There’s a lot you can do in there, and that’s not to mention plugins.
Cloudflare tunnels is more than just a reverse proxy, but agreed. That might be the better option regardless. If you’re Cloudflare-averse, you can use Tailscale funnels, or spin up your own rproxy+tunnel solution (there are plenty out there, such as Rathole, Zrok, or frp).

Operation Orange Fury makes the acronym OOF, which is also vaguely funny. I should go to bed now. 😅

Sweet! Thanks for the recommendation, it’s in my quick notes that I sort through on Sundays.

Yeah I know, just making a terrible attempt at humor. 😅

Amen to that. I do my best to have meaningful conversations where I can.

That’s kinda the whole point of faith. If there was evidence, faith wouldn’t be nearly as powerful.

I’m a Christian, and I hate this movement so much. I want to hate the people, trust me, but Jesus said to love, so I must. Seriously though, separation of church and state, now please.

I love the quetzalcoatlus, it’s one of my favorite summons in D&D. 80ft fly speed, flyby, 10ft reach, 22 (6d6+2) damage with a flying charge, and only CR 2. 🤌

…and you pay more for other distros?

Not if the retirement homes take it first!

This sounds like excellent XKCD material.

So I (should be unsurprisingly) found a video essay about it. Apparently the answer is yes…?

The majority of drivers firmly believe they’re above average. Still one of my favorite things to tell people.

No worries. It is technically another layer in the “swiss cheese” model, but it certainly is more holes than cheese. I think it falls into the “can’t hurt, might help” category.
Note that KDE Linux is completely different from Neon:
/usris a read-only, atomically updatederofsvolume backed by a single file, allowing rollback to any of the last 5 OS imagesI love the direction they’re going with it, but I personally won’t be running it because I like to tinker.
