uhhh. So would I need to get everyone who uses the household pc to verify age? Whats stopping a child from using the family pc that was age verified by an adult?

I am guessing that the 131 feet come from the size of the turbine (60m x 40m x 40m)… The article is extremely poorly written

Thanks, this worked c:

It’s every video, and stops being in issue as soon as I turn ublock off.
Why would that be? I have it on my android right now

He is also not the same Frank Wilhoit who wrote the Politics of Massive Resistance though the quote has been often misattributed to him. (Understandable given that one Frank Wilhoit was a political scinetist but the Frank Wilhoit who wrote the quote was a composer, though the quote was written far after the political scientists death and can be clearly attributed to the composer)

And so that means that his Jewish identity is more important to the story than the fact he is a Zionist, Israeli or a vile islamaphobe how? There are plenty of anti-zionist Jews. I march alongside some every week. All this does is further conflate Judaism and Zionism in the minds of the readers.

Sick of the reporting on situations like this highlighting the fact a person is Jewish over the fact they are an Israeli or a Zionist. It contributes greatly to the idea that it is Jewish people as a whole and not specifically Zionists that are spreading this hatred. Heck “notorious Islamaphobe” is probably way more relevant than the fact he happens to be Jewish.

Why was a study needed for this? That’s just how tarrifs work…

I’ve seen them sold in 3 packs as “traffic light capsicums” with a red, green and yellow one. I would have written the showerthought the other way around though as all traffic light colours (red, amber/yellow, and green) are possible capsicum colours but not all capsicum colours are represented in traffic lights (purple, orange, white etc.)

I know one family that did this, but yeh, far from common

Don’t have much sympathy for this person but no company has any more right to a domain name than any of us and this sets a scary precedence.
Would you upload your government ID just to access the web? Would you be content knowing that a leak at a social media company could lead to your identity being stolen just because your government wants to keep under 16s off of mainstream social media. Would you be happy with your child using 4chan because they are banned from using safer social media websites? I personally know several people who would not be around today if online safe spaces didn’t exist to give them an escape from bullying, queerphobia or domestic violence. I can understand why someone might agree with the sentiment “people under 16 shouldn’t be on social media”, but I cannot understand why someone would be okay with the specifics of this legislation. People are going to have their lives ruined because of this new law and it doesn’t even succeed in what it sets out to do (nominally) in the first place. The true reason for this bill is not to “protect children from radicalisation”, but to drive viewer/readership of Murdoch media, if it were about protecting children from radicalisation and bullying, why are the worst of these social media sites not included in the ban?
