The price is still reasonable for me. I don’t want to switch services because they might enshitrify someday.

Technology@lemmy.world•Canada announces bill banning social media for anyone under 16English
131·19 days agoWhy do we need a separate bill for social media companies to remove content that sexually victimizes children? Existing laws would have worked, if they had been enforced.
Also, not regulating AI chatbot use for children because it hasn’t been studied yet is moronic. It is absolutely obvious that AI has serious cognitive impacts on adults. This generation doesn’t have any chance.

4·1 month agoThey might remove their Canadian servers but you can use Mullvad without giving them any personal information. The government would need to block Mullvad or Mullvad would need to block Canadian IPs.
I doubt Mullvad would block Canadian IPs; it would be a bit antithetical to their business model. The Canadian government couldn’t really go after a company without any Canadian presence either.

It has been a while, but it was usually after installing the proprietary drivers that I started to get glitches. I probably missed a step somewhere. I have an extra disk, I may give it another go with a bit more care.
Nvidia 4070 ti. I know AMD has better open-source drivers but I had the card before switching.
I feel your pain. I tried Fedora 3 times but had graphics issues every time. I switched to Bazzite and haven’t had any issues since. Bazzite is Fedora, so it was definitely a skill issue.
I have never used Arch and I already knew to be careful with the AUR.
