I installed graohene on a pixel 9a some weeks ago. Zero prior knowledge. Never done any ROM phone stuff. Its just following a tutorial and clicking some buttons in a browser and on the phone. Like 20 mins or so?

I can absolutely see that being compared to the US it easier for people to justify bad stuff just because US whataboutism makes it easier to justify.

For what it’s worth you guys always felt closer to us here in Europe than the US in a lot of ways.

Canada is pretty great, even more so when compared to the US.

Linux is pretty great, even more so when compared to Windows.

Comparison holds up.

I feel my last day in the Internet is coming closer tbh.

Sometimes life does unintuitive things. I still think it’s great this study was carried out.

Idiot here. Can confirm. Posted from my pixel 9a with GrapheneOS which is my only phone and daily driver.

I clicked the buttons and followed the tutorial. All I needed was my PC, the phone and a USB-C cable.

Setup was easier than the android I was used to with all the bloat on it.

Can be but definitely won’t.

Here in Germany the notice period is legally binding both ways unless both sides agree to end the contract early.

Usual notice periods are 1, 3 or 6 months. It isn’t rare that you have to actually work to the end. And you know what? It’s fine. Noone expects you to go above and beyond anymore at all. You are expected to prepare all your work to be handed over to colleagues. You’ll train people who will take over your position if someone is found in time. You get to take remaining legally binding time off and overtime. On your last day at work you’ll usually being cake and there is a tiny goodbye celebration thing going on.

Work only has to be as toxic as you make it tbh. Sadly many companies choose very toxic.

Sometimes if you are let go the employer will put you off duty for the remainder of the notice period. The still have to pay you though. Just without working which is nice.

This sounds a lot like proving my innocence instead of them having to prove guilt.

It’d also be nice if it offered actual security.

Like many adults I just got recently diagnosed in my mid 30s.

For me it was that I can’t have adhd because I was good at school and uni. Then I completely fell apart when I entered work.

I had to go through depression and burn out and bore out and more. Eventually someone said I could have adhd and just been able to deal due to high IQ.

Turns out that’s what it was. I’m really good at learning new stuff. So school and uni. I really suck at repeating the same shit all day. So work. Welp. Helps to know.

Not every adhd is equally severe nor do they all affect the same parts of people’s lives. I’m happy this works for you but it does not mean it works for everyone.
