Unrelated somewhat, but one similar swedish expression is “ta en titt” (literally “take a look”, not “grab a boob”). But then the swedes also have “Slutstation” (“End station” in public traffic) and “Utfart” (“drive out”).

Wow, months old post. Oh well…

Not only that, I mangle them too!

I hate fitted sheets. They’re ugly, impractical and always wrinkled. They never feel properly cleaned and always look untidy, even straight from the wash. Generally a horrible invention. My preferred way to store them is in a dumpster burned to cinder.

In my view straws of any material are useless as a concept and waste of natural resources. They are among the first things we should completely get rid of and ban forever. We could 100% live without them without any effect whatsoever on anyones quality of life.

Or maybe not using drugs will lead you into having more family dinners.
Simultaneous existence of two things doesn’t imply causality let alone the direction of causality.
–Edit–
In a similar fashion there is a strong correlation in my country between people wearing beanies and hip injuries amongst the elderly. I still doubt we should stop wearing beanies in freezing temperatures to protect the hips of grannies.

Intrnachnliseishn. Acksessibilitii. Who cares about the letters in between. In english there is no real match between a written word and how it sounds anyway. /s

American bread ain’t nothing but edible sponge. In old Europe you’d have seriously bad time sleeping on bread.

So basically shampoo/soap + conditioner is used to first chemically strip off natural oils and then replace them with chemicals.
Being a short haired dude I struggle to understand how hair, which is basically dead tissue would benefit from moisturizing, though I guess adding oils and silicone will probably make it look more glossy. And obviously give soap more stuff that needs to be removed on cleansing.
I dunno, this seems like a situation that is engineered purely for marketing purposes.

All of these seem to have very little effect in how (christian) people actually live their lives. More words, still so little action.
Not just songs. F***ing english “sprinkles” are everywhere and it’s annoying beyond words. “Myllärin by Helsingin mylly”. 11 cases out of 10 it sounds imbecile, not cool.
