Coming to a European firm near you!

This had a plausible basis in reality prior to Trump 2.0. That basis is now a burning pile of toxic sludge left in a trash heap somewhere in the central pacific. If Trump is actively trying to undermine and shatter the existing NATO, why tf would he or anyone be interested in a new one in the east with the US anytime prior to a complete and total political restructuring of the US?

They may like to see the Iranian leadership weakened, but all of them are more concerned about a scenario of chaos and uncertainty and the possibility of more radical elements coming to power there,” Anna Jacobs Khalaf, a Gulf analyst and non-resident fellow at the Arab Gulf States Institute, told Al Jazeera last month.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely opposed to a war in Iran for no fucking reason, in large part because I give a shit about the well being of the Iranian people and want to see them make their own way out of authoritarian theocracy without western intervention. But I’m not exactly sure what more radical group could possibly come to power there than the Ayatollah. Is ISIS-K a serious enough political entity that it could end up wielding any actual power in the aftermath? Cause I don’t see anyone else who could be much more radical (while maintaining something resembling a state) than what they’ve already got.

He does seem at least willing to cooperate with the EU and not block things like this unless it’s actually, genuinely in Hungary’s interest from a traditional conservative POV. Not great, but sane, at the very least.

Isn’t the Japanese government currently on track to completely block the import of any and all foreign labor?

The comment you’re replying to is directed at the American military personnel. Famously, American soldiers shot and killed their commanding officers on numerous occasions during the Vietnam war, so what they’re advocating for is mutiny by execution, and effectively martyrdom.

If the appeal goes well, yes. Well, at least about freeing them. Records and restitution should be cleared/made but I doubt it’ll happen without a fight.

Publication of the details of the case closures was extensively delayed by fears that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) would abuse such information in their politicized anti-Israel agendas.
Uh, yeah, sure. The “agenda” of wanting to prosecute the preparators of a genocide. Such anti-Israel. Very politic.

do…do you really gotta do?

Could maybe possibly plausibly have something to do with the fact they’re in a desperate war for survival against an imperialist domineer where they’ve been deeply dependent on an Israeli ally for military, intelligence, and financial support? One that would leave them in no place to be criticizing the ones holding that lifeline?
Oh sorry, nevermind, I forgot you’re living in a fantasy realm where the war ended in three days and all those Jewish Nazis like Zelenskyy were purged. Or something.

No, that’s definitely still deranged. Ukrainian oligarchs engaged in sex trafficking are not “Ukraine”, certainly not after the invasion started.

The UAE being on that list immediately screams that this list is horse shit, possibly specifically UAE funded.

somehow I feel like neither of these options are ideal

lol someone didn’t even bother to read the post description

The… Iranian regime’s own claims are Mo/CIA slop? Or the (highly relevant) accurate reporting of what the wanna-be dictator of the US is saying while threatening vaguely about it?

This particular case is nearly the perfect embodiment of the oft cited retort to this phrase, “The enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy, nothing more, nothing less.” China is literally never your friend, even when your interests align nearly perfectly, because China works very hard to ensure it never bears the burden of friendship.

Yeah, the whole army of me doesn’t show up, and them I’m fired (or take a reason sick day for no reason when I have a very, very limited number of those and get fired next time I’m sick).
Nobody else is willing to join this because some internet rando promised them it would work, and a solid chunk of the population would be unwilling to join even if there was no consequences because they generally back the regime and its warmongering. In the theoretical best case it’s the prisoners’ dilemma on a societal scale which is basically impossible to win without a larger national union syndicate to coordinate.
Unionize now, then we can actually make a general strike happen.
The legal claim is dubious, but I admire the commitment.
