I use a ReactOS vm to play Command and Conquer Red Alert. I haven’t tried the games you mentioned but they should work if they work in Wine.

WebKit has Apple behind it and Blink has Google. There’s your answer. Even Microsoft realized it can’t maintain a web engine anymore.
Try to first switch the programs you are using to ones that are available on Linux, e.g. use Krita or GIMP instead of Photoshop, and LibreOffice or OnlyOffice instead of Microsoft Office. If that works for you then you know you can switch.
I am currently using two on two different distros on two different computers. Cinnamon and KDE Plasma.
What if it were AMD/Intel but with FOSS firmware? rms uses a ThinkPad x200 with GNU Boot.
Otherwise I don’t know how mature RISC V laptops are if they even exist.
In China they have the Kaihong BotBook which runs OpenHarmony (Apache v2 license) and has an ARM processor. I don’t know if importing let alone using an open source OS more obscure than GNU+Linux is an option for you.
If money was no object I’d book a ticket to China and get me a MateBook Fold. Though whether HarmonyOS will work for me and whether GNU+Linux is supported are unknowns that make me hesitant if I ever had the money.

One thing, Edge wasn’t reskinned Internet Explorer. It had a new compliant engine called EdgeHTML and not Trident.

I prefer Edge to Chrome, but if you want or need a Chromium based browser there are better options. I personally prefer Waterfox which is not Chromium based mostly for the shorter UI chrome which leaves more room for the content.
I pronounce Uranus as Οὐρανός

And China has the advantage when you consider the cost.
Install them in your $HOME
For example $HOME/MY_CLI_TOOLS
Add it to your $PATH

I’m glad someone forked OnlyOffice but wish they came up with a better name than EuroOffice

It is an AMD Jaguar from 2013.

I add my vote for MXLinux

I use LinuxMint and have been since 2018 or so. I have been using since 2007. Though the first time I tried using it was in 2003 but it didn’t go well for me at the time.
Use something stable and boring like LinuxMint. No issues in 7 years.

Could be that Proton is just a few Wine releases behind, or their customization and extras break a few things unintentionally.

If it is about looks, it is possible to install themes.
I expect an uptick every time a major Windows update does something users don’t want. After the uptick some might go back to Windows or switch to Mac. But otherwise it will be a very slow and steady growth for GNU+Linux. I don’t think GNU+Linux will pass 10% desktop OS market share before 2035, it might even take longer.
