Who is the party? The constituents or the blowhards at the top and the army of consultants suckling off the teet of their donors? Great litmus test to admit Democratic voters don’t matter. Let’s see how many wanna commit to that.
If full time Walmart employees need government assistance programs to afford food and pay their rent, is it not Walmart who is leaning on government assistance?

NYT doesn’t define anyone anywhere. They can define deez nuts.

The judge who sentenced them this way has one of the highest rate of overturning in the country and has long been used in order to rule on stuff that’s not even his jurisdiction because he always rules with the Republican interests. Turns out when judges are the ones who are supposed to say, “no jurisdiction” they could theoretically just not say that… It will be overturned for a different sentence, but there’s something to be said that judges with purely ideological leanings getting consistently admonished from higher courts for dogshit opinions probably shouldn’t be allowed to remain being judges without consequences.

I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for someone to say exactly this statement.

Best financial investigative journalist left, that guy.

They would find out he’s a carpenter and contract him out for slave labor.

Well I guess we’ll be looking forward to the 7th prime minister in 10 years. Just keep in mind They’d rather nuke the party than stand up for their constituents, minorities, labour, or stand up to Israel. Truly a pathetic party that even manages to make the Democrats look less crazy. Corbyn was their donor organ and they rejected him, so I guess now they’re committed to dying.

I think they know the republican base is a dry sponge allowing all manner of corruption and debauchery, but that it can only absorb so fast. Trump is so craven, greedy, and capricious that he’s unaccepting of any limitation, even if their standards are already so pervasive in their decline.

It’s kinda funny how paper thin he is to everyone who’s ever read one of his lawsuits and how it went down. Trump speaks confidently in the public square but becomes a meak little mouse in court and still gets thrown out. He’s never once, in his entire 80 years, provided more evidence in court than anything he had while speaking on a stage, unless maybe that evidence was subpoenaed away from him and it destroyed his case.

Honestly it’s far worse. People in positions like Zucker can change results and manipulate their own market. There’s already a bunch of stories about athletes betting against themselves, as if that’s remotely the most egregious instances of corruption with Kalshi and Polymarket. As the other user mentioned, regulations are non existent for the President’s failsons. Recently Polymarket was caught breaking advertising laws by faking bets, lying about their sponsorships, and encouraging their partners to lie using official channels.

“No” or “Wait until the midterms?”

This will be ignored, but it’s good the ruling exists at least. Especially the cap on short term detention centers. Doesn’t this judge know they need slave labor to keep the billion dollar facility slightly operational?

NYT living up to their name, asking the real questions like why voters would prefer someone who in their interpersonal life made the mistakes of cheating and of dating a conservative operative, as well as who was a worse person 15 years ago, versus someone with a long record of pretending to care about women and helping to steal supreme court positions which directly led to incalculable suffering of women across the country.
“Why do these people suddenly care about results and actual harm?!” We’ve told them how they feel and it’s not working. People are supposed to forget who ruined their life after the month’s news cycle. We do."

Gee, I just can’t decide between a soft spoken and kind Christian man who exemplifies the teachings of Jesus or the literal embodiment of the antichrist. - Texas “Christians”

A prediction market tied to the number one source of misinformation. About as stupid as all of Mark’s other ideas that the company just tanks the damage of.

Hitler didn’t stop after Poland.

They all think they’ll be saved by the rapture, despite being the most disgusting wretched humans on earth. Additional reading about how they think it’ll happen, salivating imagining they’ll be the pilot or the driver getting beamed up heaven while the nonbelievers fly off the road or crash from cruising altitude. Left Behind: A Novel of the Earth’s Last Days (1995)
Or Calvanists to the Catholics in the 1600s: We are the pure and chosen few, and all the rest are damned. There’s room enough in hell for you — we don’t want heaven crammed.

Getting a taste of xenophobia from the less xenophobic party does not work to dissuade them on how they think it’ll go when people who actually believe in something (racist isolationism) are doing it. If it did then their voters wouldn’t be squeezing out both sides.

I don’t think a 180 should save labour here, personally. They’ve shown full complicity as their party and media infrastructure chose violence against immigrants and Palestinians.
“Big thing too big, politicians only think small, not big. Me not want to say what I really think”… neither do I Andy, because you’d have me kicked out of the country just like your predecessor. Same shit different asshole.
I guess the pile of dead children is probably too big for him to acknowledge now. Where do you find such morally empty sad disgusting bitch ass fucking losers?
