The judge who sentenced them this way has one of the highest rate of overturning in the country and has long been used in order to rule on stuff that’s not even his jurisdiction because he always rules with the Republican interests. Turns out when judges are the ones who are supposed to say, “no jurisdiction” they could theoretically just not say that… It will be overturned for a different sentence, but there’s something to be said that judges with purely ideological leanings getting consistently admonished from higher courts for dogshit opinions probably shouldn’t be allowed to remain being judges without consequences.

He’s never once, in his entire 80 years, provided more evidence in court than anything he had while speaking on a stage, unless maybe that evidence was subpoenaed away from him and it destroyed his case.

Honestly it’s far worse. People in positions like Zucker can change results and manipulate their own market. There’s already a bunch of stories about athletes betting against themselves, as if that’s remotely the most egregious instances of corruption with Kalshi and Polymarket. As the other user mentioned, regulations are non existent for the President’s failsons. Recently Polymarket was caught breaking advertising laws by faking bets, lying about their sponsorships, and encouraging their partners to lie using official channels.
