I encountered a crazier one recently: the app will just refuse to start if you block the ad servers they’re using, showing “connection unstable”.
Went to connection history and saw lots of requests to ad servers, unblocked them and I finally started the app without error, but yeah I did see ads too.
I deleted the app afterwards.


eSIM is really hard to change device in Taiwan due to government (NCC Department) “instructions” (that carrier sometimes misinterpreted it):
So physical SIM is more flexible here. (For now)
EDIT: NCC Department said the instructions are just suggestions, carrier should do KYC properly, but how all major ones do the same annoying stuff is beyond me…

Clevo did help other companies to OEM/ODM laptops with desktop CPU and sometimes with modular GPU module. But it’s super rare in the current laptop market.
The power consumption and the heat might also limited the performance they can give.
