Got it. So basically you want to wait until after the harm has been done rather than proactively try to prevent the harm.
Instead of “I don’t believe people when they say that this word is harmful to them” try “I think it would be nice if we can live in a society that more people feel comfortable living in.” This simple shift in mindset is extremely healthy if you give it a try

What manual? What part of the manual? What if something happens that the manual didn’t cover? What if the manual is out of date or wrong? What if the maintainer of the manual made a mistake?
RTFM works for uncomplicated things and/or is a good starting place but is largely an unproductive thing to say these days in my opinion

That’s … Not what enshittification is. “A product changed a feature and now I don’t like it” is different from “a company made this product worse in an effort to extract more profit from the product.” The latter is enshittification. The former is just how software development goes sometimes
