3·2 months agoWell… You do? It’s a software for a small userbase, mostly for edge-case scenarios - there’s no wonder why it’s not built-in. Nonetheless, it’s a first-party, very good software that was created with a big love.
PowerToys is incredible. It would be good if we saw suits like this for other platforms.

1·2 months agoI wouldn’t say so. PowerToys and WSL are absolutely incredible tools for advanced users.

3·3 months agoIt would be true if dataset’s composing mechanism was nothing but a blind internet scraping.
But it’s not so simple. There’s many hundreds of quality and trust filters that were created solely to prevent such things. As I said, it’s a solvable issue, even if most folks here really believe that the smartest AI was buried somewhere in 2021

2·3 months agoWhat it have to do with OpenAI? It’s not what I’m talking about.
Nonetheless, it’s kind of fun to see so much downvotes on my comment. Some people are so blinded by their hate (well deserved, by the way) that they will deny something that obvious.

310·4 months agoThis is why AI can never be smarter than it was in 2021.
You’re completely wrong. First of all, datasets are getting bigger and objectively better. Secondly, technologies and methods of model training become dramatically more complex. Yes, AI content can create echo for itself, but it’s a solvable issue.
Anyone who disagrees with this fact should do a reality check and learn a little more about the current AI state. In 2021 we didn’t even have reasoning in models.

1·5 months ago“Lemmy” is not a place, it’s a piece of software. That’s all.
And, if you ask me, this kind of generalizations is pretty stupid.

1·8 months agoLet’s imagine that the weapons are extremely hard to get, and people can’t afford even legal ones (because of checks and prices), not to say about illegal. Wouldn’t your place be better one if that was so?

7·9 months agoI’m using TeamSpeak. It is very good and feature rich, but it’s important to note that video / screen sharing works only P2P in a moment, so no server processing. It’s probably ok if you don’t have more than 3 people in a party, but still worth noting.
I also tried Matrix + Element + Jitsi. Can’t recommend.

“Find My” network is pretty strict by its nature, if you’re talking about that. Realistically speaking, I wouldn’t be scared of it, because I can’t see any vector from which it can be dangerous to the end user.
Nonetheless, “Find My” is an optional feature and can be fully disabled. Other Apple web-services can be blocked on a network level, if you want it for some reason. But, IMO, at this paranoia level, the only right option is OSS with a strict firewall.
