Not that there’s a lack of Lemmy apps. I want more mbin apps for sure, especially Eternity would be great as that has a good compact mode.

Better UI & UX. As long as federation works it does not matter whether they are Lemmy communities or mbin magazines. So, why use Lemmy when you can make use of the same communities on mbin?

They do serve the exact same function. And no, they don’t stay on the road. The batteries degrade, die and aren’t replaceable due to proprietary designs. There’s already plenty of dead EVs.

Measured against ICE cars. Actual direct alternatives are public transport, bikes, and micro cars. And you’re also assuming they’re driven that long before the person buys another car.

Highly doubtful. EVs still have a high footprint, especially those obese ones that we’re making in the West.

I wonder if the cold war got this boring and obnoxious too or if that’s more a symptom of our modern & fast communication. Hearing those weekly nuclear threats is nothing but a clown show at this point.
