For photos and video I use immich, which can also hook into your nextcloud and display your stuff In its own tab, as well as allowing you to directly move pics from one to the other. Its a nice gphotos alternative that suits my needs pretty well

I find the same, though I, and I hope others, use it as an “I agree/this adds to the conversation” button and downvotes exclusively as a “this doesnt add to the conversation or is misinformation” button. I also appreciate seeing the down votes rather than an aggregated score.

I assume the same way the steam deck gets replacement sticks. You’d replace the entire thumb cap and run a wire under and to a specific connector. So its unlikely you’ll get a third party solution with capacitive touch but getting official parts shouldn’t be impossible either, just more tedious.
