Agreed whole heartedly. Im a leftist through and through and It’s the most important thing I challenge friends on. How much grace should be afforded to those who have illustrated a capacity for change?

The truth is that it’s insane what the medical community has to do to research the medical viability of something that was ruled to have no medical viability, despite at the time it was scheduled showing promise and continuing to show promise outside of the states and in the medical studies that have bent over backwards to follow the rules.
Psychedelics were once viewed as one of the most promising breakthroughs in mental health treatment and because of Nixon and Regan and their racist war on drugs, that legacy has been kicked down the road.

While you have a point, are you suggesting we continue to let them be victimized by doing nothing and continue on with the status quo? Sometimes forests have to burn and the old has to die to let new life flourish. Such is a fact of nature.
You see i did vote blue so this doesnt include me, but logically, you could make the exact opposite argument. This is what the DNC wanted by not courting people who clearly defined what it would have taken to get their vote. I dont agree with the protest voters actions, but i do agree with their principles.
I think information is useful. I see no problem giving people the information and vehicles for making decisions… but as a society I do think we need to get to a place where we acknowledge that everyone has their own line and trust they are making the best decisions they can be, given the information they have.
I’ve asked the same question for situations where the court of public appeal has changed the donation decisions and yet people choose to castigate because they believe repreations to counteract their donations are due. I believe progress is progress and it should be rewarded, that is my line. Others will disagree and that’s fine.
