It has a screen and you can click a product to remove it (you need to rescan it)

Other than a time where I could not rescan a product to delete it, it always worked

Also an important note: you can actual see your total on the PDA, and you can manually check prices one by one

You don’t have idea how many times they put a price and then you scan it and it’s different

(Once I brought home 4x 200g hamburgers for 4 cent )

Advanced self checkout (you are registered to the store): you get a PDA and you scan and bag all the groceries while you roam the store. Then you scan a qr, you get the total, pay and go. No Id checks for alcol or anything (sometimes you get a random partial re-reading where you get an sales person coming and scanning 3 items at random from your bag to check if you scanned them, or a total re-read)

Advanced self checkout is something I would never give back. Even if I buy a lot of things, the quick payment process is so quick that nothing compares.

I can enter and leave a store in under 10 minutes buying a lot of stuff (note that I go there walking multiple time per week)

I did it already many years ago. You dont have to purposely loose all your old accesses. You can secure them and abandon them.

It happened once in 10y that I had to go back to recover 1 email from my google account but it was for something stupid that I could have avoided.

The hard part could be WhatsApp in Europe. I abandoned it the day after it was bought by facebook

Hi, saying “Italy has a major issue with domestic violence” it’s misleading. Compared to what? To Europe? (we are on the lower end of feminicides, and this law try to target this issue). More in general, Italy it’s a very safe place and homicides are lower than the average of europe.

To further expand: Is it an issue? YES, is it even slightly going towards a resolution with this new law? NOPE. It’s just the next new big title from “Governo Meloni”, a right wing party that is in charge, will get re-elected but is acting like it’s on the opposition.

This is not like the “White lives matter” responses to the BLM movement. If they wanted to increase the “hate crime” or “gender crime” homicides penalties, they could have said something like “to address the feminicides we will be increasing all the hate/gender homicides penalties”. But this government hate gays and trans, just love a christian traditional family and slogans (which none of our representatives was able to mantain btw).
