New state laws are pushing age verification into macOS and Windows. By 2027, logging in might require a facial scan or government ID.

This is unacceptable. And I’m sick of all the fucking workarounds to maintain basic privacy.

    Yeah I hear you. Now you got to do a facial scan and fingerprinting and all sorts of other stupid shit. I wonder what the angle is? Are they trying to keep kids off the internet? So now I have to throw my information up there because parents can’t manage their kids?

      There are sophisticated algos for fingerprinting. It might take several data points to identify you on the internet. If they have your IP and your date of birth, they only need two.
