I’m commenting from https://old.piefed.zip/ , the experience is very similar to old.reddit

Piefed has been reliable for years, this document is 2 years old

Cool idea!

!fedigrow@lemmy.zip for people looking for small communities

I just saw it, very cool!

Minor suggestion: have a way to indicate the language of posts and comments? At the moment you can select the language, but it will not be indicated anywhere (contrary to Lemmy which has a small label)

I know those used to be a pain in the past for Lemmy (!languagesettings@lemmy.zip) , but now that this is mostly stable for all platforms (Lemmy, Mbin, Piefed, Pylova) it might be worth adding them, to give more visibility

This is the bot code: https://gitlab.com/UlrikHD/lemmy-match-thread-bot

Well done!

Thank you, but IIUC the issue is with avoiding ESPN controls, that’s not on the Piefed side

Unfortunately it doesn’t work anymore, see the pinned post on !football@sopuli.xyz

A recent Piefed update allows to follow Mastodon accounts: https://piefed.zip/c/piefed_meta@piefed.social/p/1736809/piefed-v1-7-11-is-released-finding-and-adding-people-to-follow-posts-from-rss-feeds-and-mo

Good point

Those threads used to be more active a few months ago. A lot of regular posters have reduced their activity (myself includes)

The change to Piefed linked above is from 5 days ago, that’s probably why only recent posts show up.
