As a Canadian, I do want to point out that it’s not enough to be above the united states, considering how their bar is dropping lower and lower.

I am very thankful for our existing healthcare system, and I want to see people protect it against the american inspired groups that are trying to privatize parts of it.

The thing is

• There are delusional leaders in democratic systems that build a cult of personality and market themselves as having been picked by God to lead, some even going to authoritarian lengths to cement their rule. The united states is currently one of those countries, and I think that is a far more dangerous thing to block from my country than Norway’s monarchy
• many monarchies are hereditary celebrities rather than hereditary leaders, where the position is kept around for the tourism value and they do not have (or claim to have) any right to rule over people

So when you make a comment saying that “they deserved it” about someone whose crime is being born into the spotlight, despite any good they may have done with that position, people are going to think you’re an uninformed jerk.

It would depend on the specific antibiotic and specific probiotic. Each antibiotic will kill a certain subtype of bacteria (ex. Those that have a certain type of shell). So it’s possible that they will go their separate ways, or you’ll waste both by reenacting osmosis jones.

Now this second part is something I’m not sure about. I used to think that it makes sense to have probiotics after an antibiotic treatment is complete, since you can repopulate your gut with healthy bacteria once the harmful bacteria has been eradicated. It’s actually pretty useful for those who need that use case.

They have one API for all the models, and when a few companies are offering the same models, they will send it to the one that is cheaper or faster, depending on the user’s settings. That kind of developer simplicity is pretty much why Stripe got popular too.

They also have a lot of data on which models are popular, which ones are being used by specific tools, etc.

Now that open weight and international models are getting popular over the american big tech ones, it seems like a lot of companies want something that can redirect their usage to whatever model fits within their preferred parameters.

Some other ideas I forgot to add to the other comment

• Have some mechanism for people to suggest which niches get worked on, and then have one person decide on the schedule. Else it gets disorganized

• Shorten the cycles to a few weeks rather than months. I feel like people will get impatient if they need to wait months to get past a niche they don’t care about. Two weeks might be a nicer starting point, and then you can adjust it up or down?

• Do outreach about the project all over the place, and not just in fedigrow. Fedigrow reaches the involved and active people, but not everyone else that might be interested in the theme. For example:

  • Ask people about their favorite communities for the topic of that cycle on !asklemmy@lemmy.world, !ask@piefed.social, etc
  • Memes in !lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world (see the beans, corn, and similar trends), which are very low effort
  • post lists of that cycle’s relevant communities in !newcommunities@lemmy.world and !communitypromo@lemmy.ca

• While you can prioritize one community, don’t restrict it to that one. It will be easier to find people interested in crafts, compared to say crochet specifically. Also people can have strong feelings about which specific community or instance is best, and some users might refuse to post to an instance they don’t agree with. So if you give a list of which communities you want to grow, it might go over better

I think there are a lot of people who might want to help, but don’t have the time/energy/experience to organize it

If you can, I would prefer that you use the existing communities for this project because there’s no need to dilute efforts further. Also, see if you can create a Mastodon account where you post those announcements too, because that’s a large userbase that is already familiar with what this place is and can even post from their accounts

I guess that depends on who you assume the worker is in this premise

If the “worker with no boss” is someone that is self employed, or they are the “boss”, then they are closer to OPs example

If they are a lower level worker in a company that has no leadership at all, then it’s closer to the bee example. However, just like with bees, the workers will raise a new bee to be the queen in order to keep the system functional

I think the difference between the hive and a workplace is that when a human boss mismanages a company and overworks the workers, the workers eventually burn out and get replaced, or the boss leaves to do the same thing at a new company. Bee hives can’t do that, and if they mismanage the hive (by sending the wrong pheromones), then the colony dies

The same is true for people’s newsletters and social content. It’s your name on it; are you proud of the prose and weird AI-isms sprinkled throughout it? If so, great. But I can ask Claude directly if I wanted to.

TLDR: Take responsibility for what you send to people, and don’t just ask a chatbot and blindly share the output
